We understand that when your flight is canceled by the airline, you would like to receive your refund / voucher as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we see that in many cases it takes a number of weeks or even months before we can refund the amount to you or issue a voucher. 


Many airlines currently take a very long time processing the refunds. This is partly because the numbers to be processed are still extremely high and, on the other hand, because many airlines have stopped their automated refund process, which means that everything has to be processed manually (both at the airline and at our side).


This results in enormous delays, in which we are completely dependent on the airline. To provide you with the best possible information, please find below a list of airlines that are currently not authorising any refunds or are seriously delayed in doing so:


  • Aeroflot - does not authorise refunds yet. You can request a voucher yourself on this website.
    • Update 14-10-2020: Aeroflot has indicated that only bookings with departure until March 17 are eligible for a      refund. Other bookings can only request a voucher.
  • Aeromexico - is (temporarily) under voluntary administration (so-called Chapter 11) and does not authorise refunds.
  • Air Madagascar - does not (currently) authorise refunds.
  • Air Mauritius - is (temporarily) under voluntary administration and does not authorise refunds.
  • Air Moldova - allows refunds only according to ticket conditions with charges.
  • Air North - does not authorise refunds (yet). Customers can only change their booking under change conditions.
  • Air Transat - does not authorise refunds (yet). Customers can only change their booking under change conditions.
    • Update 10-14-2020: Air Transat has indicated that bookings with a canceled direct flight from Amsterdam to Vancouver are eligible for a refund. We will arrange this for you as soon as possible.
  • Air Europa - has a huge backlog, only refund applications up to the end of April have been authorised.
    • Update 16-12-2020Air Europa has indicated that they will process all refunds within 10 weeks from now on.
    • Update 24-02-2021: Air Europa unfortunately did not meet their previously set deadline and still copes with the same backlog. Only refund applications up to the end of April have been authorised. 
  • Alitalia- has a huge backlog, only refund applications up to the beginning of April have been authorised.
    • Update 28-09-2020: Alitalia has indicated that they will start processing refunds from now on.
    • Update 25-02-2021: Alitalia has handled refund applications up to the beginning of January 2021.
  • Avianca - is (temporarily) under voluntary administrationand does not authorise refunds.
    • Update 25-02-2021: Avianca has started handling refunds and has handled all refund applications up to the beginning of October 2020.
  • Azul Linhas Aereas - Allows only refunds according to ticket conditions with charges.
  • Cabo Verde Airlines - does not authorise refunds (yet). You can request a voucher yourself by following the instructions on this website.
  • El Al - does not authorise refunds (yet).
  • Ethiopian Airlines- has indicated that it will probably start authorising refunds from the beginning of next year.
    • Update 30-10-2020: Ethiopian Airlines has confirmed that they will start authorising refunds from 01.01.21 onwards.
  • Flydubai - does not authorise refunds (yet). You can request a voucher yourself on this website.
  • Garuda Indonesia- has a huge backlog.
    • Update 28-09-2020: Garuda Indonesia has indicated that it will process refunds more quickly, we will arrange this for you as soon as possible. Applications submitted up to and including June will be processed before November 30th.
    • Update 01-12-2020: Garuda Indonesia has indicated that they are experiencing delays again. Applications submitted up to and including June will be processed before the end of the year. 
    • Update 12-05-2021: Garuda Indonesia has handled 88% of all our applications. All applications submitted until September have been handled. All other applications will be handled as soon as possible.
  • Georgia Airways - does not authorise refunds (yet). You can request a voucher yourself by contacting group@georgian-airways.com.
  • Interjet - does not authorise refunds (yet). Customers can only change their booking according to conditions.
  • Oman Air - does not authorise refunds (yet).
  • Royal Air Maroc - does not authorise refunds (yet). You can request a voucher yourself, for more information please check this website.
  • Siberia Airlines - does not authorise refunds (yet). Customers can only change their booking directly with the airline.
  • SriLankan Airlines - has a huge backlog, only applications until the end of April have been authorised.
  • Surinam Airways - only authorises refunds after 12 months after refund request.
  • TAP Portugal- has a huge backlog, only requests up to mid-April have been authorised.
    • Update 27-10-2020: TAP Portugal has indicated that they will process refunds more quickly from now on.
  • Thai Airways - is (temporarily) under voluntary administration and does not authorise refunds.
  • Tunis Air - does not authorise refunds (yet). Customers can only change their booking according to conditions.
  • Ukraine Airlines- has a huge backlog, only requests up to end of April have been authorised.
    • Update 25-02-2021: Ukraine Airlines has processed all requests up to end of July. 
  • Windward Airways - does not process refunds (yet). Customers can only change their booking according to conditions.



We are currently in the process of contacting these carriers to hopefully speed up these refunds.
